Cox Arizona brings 600 presents to Capitol Elementary School in Phoenix

For the 23rd year, Cox Arizona employees brought holiday cheer to nearly 600 Phoenix Title I elementary school students at Capitol Elementary School.

The students also received a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Along with the elementary school students, Pre-K Head Start program students joined in the festivities as well.

“We look forward to this event every year,” said RJ Muller, community relations manager for Cox Communications. “Our employees come together and provide the gifts, and we get to wrap and deliver the gifts and see the smiles on the children’s faces — it means the world to us and we’re so happy to be a part of it.”

Cox Arizona trucks were filled with more 600 wrapped presents that were delivered to the school, and employees helped assemble toys for students once gifts are opened. As a thank you to this year’s volunteers, families of Capitol School brought holiday dishes to share with everyone.
