Chili’s, Waste Not Team Up to Fight Hunger

Chili’s is partnering with local nonprofit, Waste Not, for the eighth consecutive year to end hunger in Arizona.
From May 18 to May 28, all 19 Valley Chili’s locations will donate 15 percent of each check to the Waste Not Campaign, and will also give guests the opportunity to contribute an additional donation.
Over the past seven years, Chili’s has donated $138,000 to Waste Not, which each dollar allowing the organization to feed six hungry people.
Waste Not was established 30 years ago, and aims to end hunger in the Valley by daily transferring up to 10,000 pounds of perishable, excess food that would have otherwise been thrown out from restaurants, resorts, caterers, grocers, to over 100 diverse agencies that feed the hungry.
These agencies include schools, after-school programs, rehabilitation centers, transition homes and senior facilities. Three million pounds of food were transferred last year.
