Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts to present ‘Agave: The Spirit Of A Nation’

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present a screening of “Agave: The Spirit Of A Nation” in partnership with No Festival Required at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 19, in its Stage 2.

The documentary — produced and directed by Nick Kovacic and Matt Riggieri — explores the fastest-trending alcohol spirits in the world, tequila and mezcal. The film takes audiences to agave plant farms in Mexico, where families have been passing down the tradition of distilling agave for generations.

Patrons will experience the film, an interactive experience with brand ambassadors after the screening and mezcal samples.

No Festival Required brings feature-length documentaries, narratives and experimental packaged short films straight to Scottsdale.

Tickets are $25, which includes one welcome cocktail, film and mezcal sampling following the screening. Visit ScottsdalePerformingArts.org or call 480-499-8587 for information or to purchase tickets.
