Calling all wine fans!
Salut Kitchen Bar is set to open its doors next month, offering an American twist to Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed European inspired environment.
The new 3,400 square foot restaurant and bar, located between the infamous Mill Avenue and Tempe Marketplace, offers sophisticated-yet-affordable authentic food such as bruschetta, gourmet tapas, salads, sandwiches, entrees and an extensive wine selection for a memorable wine-and-dine experience.
“Salut is an eclectic concept with dashes of Mediterranean influence,” says the owner Anastasios Tirkas, also known as Taso. “It has a trendy European vibe while meeting all the desires of the local community.”
Taso, a native to the island of Cyprus, has a passion for Mediterranean cuisine and has experience owning similar concepts throughout his career in the food industry. He, along with head chef Jesse Carlson, designed Salut’s menu to appeal to everyone’s palate. Carlson recently worked as the Executive Chef for The Merc Bar, The Grind and Chick Rotisserie and Wine Bar.
Signature items on Salut’s menu include Hummus Nachos, Roasted Corn Salad, and Vegetable Paella.
The new restaurant will also feature indoor and outdoor seating, a 20-seat bar, rustic and vintage décor, a wine room on display, a custom glass garage door that allows walking access to the 1,250 square foot patio, private event space, and more.
“Everyone asks me what a kitchen bar is and I would say ‘no explanation, just good feelings and good wine’,” he concluded. “We are hoping to create the comfort that friends and families have when gathering in their kitchen at home.”
