Party of Note: An International Treasure

More than 40 Party of Note guests joined Drs. Jacque Sokolov and Mitzi Krockover in their Paradise Valley home Feb. 23 for cocktails and an Asian-inspired dinner created by the hosts’ private chef. The evening benefited The Phoenix Symphony.

The highlight was a concert featuring the talents of Symphony cellist Peter Lorenzo Anderegg and pianist Larry Loeber, who performed on the family’s baby grand piano.

Attendees enjoyed the family’s collection of artwork by artist Beth Ames Swartz, as well as Asian and African artifacts. Swartz was on hand to answer questions about her work, which explores systems of knowledge by translating philosophical concepts into aesthetic visual experiences.

In its sixth season, Parties of Note is a one-of-a-kind program offering a unique opportunity to spend an evening in an intimate setting with Symphony musicians and friends, while enjoying a gourmet meal in some of the Valley’s finest homes.
