Boots ’n’ Bling Gala Raises $300K to Provide Prevention Presentations to Arizona Youth

Guests at Boots ’n’ Bling rode a mechanical bull and kicked up their heels, having a good time for a good cause. The notMYkid fundraiser – the organization’s 12th annual –  on April 8 at Desert Foothills Events inside McDonald’s Ranch in Scottsdale generated $300,000 to provide hundreds of prevention presentations to Arizona’s youth on topics such as substance abuse, bullying, body image and self-esteem, depression and self-injury, Internet safety and unhealthy relationships.

More than 500 guests attended the event, enjoying hayrides, a barbecue, bull-riding, silent and live auctions, impactful videos and s’mores by the campfire.

Peggy Baze, founder of Artful Giving, was honored with the Inspiring Philanthropist Award.

The Women’s Auxiliary committee, chaired by Heather Novak, organized the evening. Christy Orders and Alexa Schneider co-chaired the live auction; Laurie Fielder and Martha Fratt co-chaired the silent auction; Bridget Hanger chaired the raffle; and Kerri Geisler chaired the ticket sales.
