Arizona Assistance in Healthcare hosted its 2nd Annual Project Pink vintage fashion show and luncheon Oct. 2 at the Wigwam Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park. The event, presented by Cancer Treatment Centers of America, provides help to Valley cancer patients in need of financial support for non-medical expenses when the cost of prolonged medical care creates financial hardship.
More than 450 guests attended the luncheon, co-chaired by Candace Wiest, president of West Valley National Bank, and Meredith McGuire, president of Arizona Assistance in Healthcare. Dr. Marnee Spierer, radiation oncologist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Robyn Taylor, a recipient of AIH who is currently being treated for breast cancer, were the honorary event chairs.
Robert Black of Fashion by Robert Black presented the runway show, featuring vintage fashions from his Scottsdale store and models from FORD/Robert Black Agency.
Kendra Scott Jewelry donated mystery boxes, which guests purchased during the social hour. Generous sponsors included West Valley National Bank, The James Grogan Family, Arizona Diamondbacks, Medical Diagnostic Imaging Group, and physicians at Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical Center.
