Palette With a Cause

Each year, cosmetic company Chantecaille uses its platform to draw

attention to issues of global sustainability. The company is not just a brand;

it is one family’s legacy.

French matriarch Sylvie Chantecaille

founded the namesake company, and

every family member assumes a

distinct role. Daughters Olivia and Alex

bring creativity and passion. Son Philippe

handles the digital presence, and husband

Olivier spearheads the financial department.

At its core, Chantecaille is connected to nature, using a high concentration of natural botanicals in all its products. From remote fields in the south of France to laboratories leading the way in scientific innovation, Chantecaille creates products they believe in. The healing properties of its plant-based formulas reduce the aging effects of inflammation on the different layers of the skin, often penetrating below the surface with nano-technology.

PHILANTHROPY

The family’s deep concern for environmental issues drives Sylvie to design a new compact annually, with sales benefiting a nonprofit agency that addresses a significant global issue. This year, the Glaciers palette addresses the issue of global warming. Five percent of the proceeds from the beautiful palette will go to the Extreme Ice Survey.

Founded in 2007 by James Balong, the EIS uses an innovative, long-term photography program that integrates art and science to give a “visual voice” to the planet’s changing ecosystems. EIS imagery preserves a visual legacy, providing a unique baseline – useful in years, decades and even centuries to come – for revealing how climate change and other human activity impacts the planet. EIS is a program of the Earth Vision Institute.

NEW THIS YEAR

This year, Chantecaille also introduces Rose de Mai Face Oil, the latest addition to the Rose de Mai collection. The supercharged anti-aging formula pairs luxurious, nourishing texture with natural healing properties to brighten the skin. Known for its array of benefits, Rose de Mai is rich in Vitamin C and is boosted by a rich bouquet of roses: RoseHip, Evening Primrose Rose Damascena and Rose Geranium.
