Fresh Start Runway Fashion

The Fresh Start Fashion Gala is an annual harbinger of spring,

and this year’s gala was no exception. Saks Fifth Avenue, which has

partnered in the gala since its inception 19 years ago when the

first fashion show was held in the store’s rotunda, each year delivers

one of the Valley’s finest New York-style runway shows.

On Feb. 21, the upscale retailer fashioned another spectacular show, filling the runway at the Arizona Biltmore with a palette of fresh yellows, ethereal blue and rich oranges from Naeem Khan and Oscar de la Renta. These were complemented by fresh lime from Oscar de la Renta as well as ladylike florals.

The spring palette contrasted with black and white designs – a combination that continues to be strong – from both Khan and de la Renta.
