Skincare line promotes anti-aging
through the powers of ancient
thermal waters
The Hungarian capital of Budapest is known as the
“City of Spas” because of its abundance of ancient
thermal springs. The hundred-plus springs in the city
deliver more than 70 million liters of healing thermal
water every day, and guests at the numerous baths
around the city luxuriate in the healing waters.
In the 19th century, the Omorovicza family built the Racz Furdo spa on the site of a mineral-rich spring. Some 200 years later, Stephen de Heinrich, a descendant of the family, and his wife, Margaret, visited the baths and, noticing the healing effects of the thermal waters on their skin, began to experiment with techniques to distill the long-known benefits of the thermal waters into skincare. The resulting anti-aging line is named Omorovicza and incorporates a patented delivery process, Hydro Mineral Transference, to enable the optimal absorption of healing minerals to the deeper layers of the skin.

“It’s all about the water,” Margaret says. “All skincare products are at least 60 percent water. These mineral waters have been used for thousands of years. It’s accepted wisdom that minerals are good for the skin.”
The company launched in 2005 with eight products, everything needed for a facial. In 2014, Omorovicza offers 40 products available in Bergdorf Goodman, luxury spas, Neiman Marcus and the St. Regis locations.
The newest line is the Blue Diamond Collection. Each of the three products in this collection has a unique combination of ingredients that fuel rejuvenation. The Diamond infusion is formulated to provide radiance and energize the complexion. The benefits are cell protection, cell longevity and DNA protection.
The Diamond infusion is paired with an advanced copper compound that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. This “youth booster” firms skin and renews elasticity. This naturally blue copper compound is what gives each product its subtle blue hue.
The Blue Diamond Collection includes Blue Diamond Concentrate to restore vibrancy to the skin, Blue Diamond Super-Cream to reverse the aging process and Blue Diamond Resurfacing Peel to exfoliate without irritating or upsetting the skin’s natural balance. The products will be available at Neiman Marcus Scottsdale on Sept. 1.
