Celebrating its 21st year, the Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic presented by Valley Toyota Dealers welcomed almost 230 golfers. The Nov. 6 event at Kierland Golf Course grossed more than $360,000. Proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit the life-changing programs and services offered at Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
“The Fresh Start Men’s Board has worked so hard to make this event a success,” says Brett Angner, Fresh Start’s Men’s Board chairman. “Of course, we couldn’t do it without the support of the community, volunteers and staff that believe in Fresh Start’s mission. The Men’s Board believes that the foundation of our society is women and children, and it is an honor to support Fresh Start’s work.”
Golfers enjoyed breakfast, lunch and beverages on the course and finished the event with a lively awards banquet and live auction. The format included a four-person scramble playing 12 par 3, four par 4 and two par 5 holes.
The unique tournament offered 12 hole-in-one opportunities to win an array of vehicles courtesy of Valley Toyota Dealers.
“Each year, the community looks forward to the Golf Classic, and it’s a tremendous way for everyone to come together in support of such an important service that is provided in the Valley,” says Susan Berman, president and CEO of Fresh Start.
