Wine, Women and Horses

The fourth annual Wine, Women, and Horses event at Turf Paradise was March 1. The more than 400 guests at the women’s luncheon raised $40,000 to benefit Child Crisis Center.

Guests donned their most festive hats and enjoyed a day at the races. The day included hat contests, raffle prizes, goody bags and learning how to play the ponies.

Child Crisis Center is a 33-year-old nonprofit organization in Mesa that has provided emergency shelter to more than 13,000 abused and neglected children since 1981. Serena Simms and Syleste Rodriguez co-chaired the event. Cheryl Denham, owner of Arizona Family Florist, donated the centerpieces for the luncheon.
