Swing Fore Kids Cancer

Golf tournament raises $50K

for children's cancer research

Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children hosted its first annual golf tournament at Grayhawk on Nov. 15. The event included a hole-in-one shootout for $25,000, a putting contest, a raffle and a silent auction. Plus, there was plenty to do for the kids in the Kids Zone: Rick the Magician and balloon twister.

The fun afternoon raised $50,000 for the foundation, whose mission is to end pediatric cancer through research. This money will enable the foundation to launch the Travel Assistance Program, which benefits children suffering from pediatric cancer and families who need to travel for care.

Jen and Jim “Bones” Mackay were the honorary co-chairs, and Tim & Willy with Andrea and Tara Hitchcock were the day’s emcees. The presenting sponsor was For Those Without A Voice. Chester’s Harley Davidson, Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise, Cool Clubs, National Bank of Arizona and Grayhawk Golf Club were also sponsors.
