New CEO for YWCA

DANA CAMPBELL SAYLOR TO LEAVE POST AT YWCA

After eight years of leading the Arizona YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix as CEO and expanding the nonprofit’s influence throughout Arizona, Dana Campbell Saylor has announced her departure from the YW. Her successor, Regina Edwards, Ph.D., the YWCA’s current director of development, has been voted in as the new CEO, effective July 1, 2014. Edwards has served as the YWCA board chair, knows the organization well and has experience in education and nonprofits.

Under Saylor’s tenure the YWCA experienced innovation and growth, with the organization adding an advocacy (501c4) component, joining a new region, selecting men to serve on the board, changing the name, expanding the Meals on Wheels program, and starting the YW Empowerment Lecture series, Own IT financial education program, and YW Metropolitan Women’s Forum.

As CEO, Saylor received numerous awards and accolades from the community. Among them were the NAWBO Visionary award, the 2010 West Valley Mover and Shaker award, and the 2009 Golden Heart award presented by AZ Magazine and the Arizona Republic. She also was a finalist in the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s Athena awards.
