Heard Hires New Director of Institutional Advancement

The Heard Museum welcomes Natalie Vandeventer as its new director of institutional advancement. Vandeventer is the former development manager at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and networking to her new positions. Prior to her tenure at SMoCA, Vandeventer was the director of sales and marketing for Patrick Media Group, publisher of Frontdoors News and Food & Flourish. She worked in the financial world for 25 years as a stockbroker. She hosted the radio show Moneytalk and developed and presented a seminar series on investing for the Phoenix and Scottsdale library systems. After retiring from UBS Financial Services in 2006, Vandeventer delved into a new career, starting Van Consulting, where she created and directed marketing campaigns for a diverse clientele.

Vandeventer has been active in community and philanthropic endeavors for the past 25 years. She served on the boards for National Charity League and Boys Team Charity and was the community liaison and volunteer coordinator for UMOM and St. Vincent de Paul. She was also involved with fundraising for Brophy and Xavier college preparatories. She is passionate about art and is looking forward to sharing the excitement and potential that the Heard Museum offers to the community.

Vandeventer resides in Paradise Valley with her husband and has two adult children.
