‘˜Fiesta Bowls’ for Bridge Residents

Members of Fiesta Bowl staff prepare and share dinner at

domestic violence shelter.

As part of the Fiesta Bowl’s monthly volunteer outreach into the community, 15 members of the Fiesta Bowl staff will spend the afternoon and evening of Aug. 18 preparing, cooking and sharing dinner with women and their families living at Save The Family’s domestic violence shelter, The Bridge.

For most of the Fiesta Bowl staff members, this will be their first visit to a domestic violence shelther. Together, they will make “Fiesta Bows” — taco salad in bow-shaped flour tortillas. In addition, they will prepare a Save the Family staff member’s award-winning salsa recipe and Spanish rice.

The Fiesta Bowl mascot, Spirit, also will be on hand.
