More than 400 Duet supporters and jazz fans gathered for the

34th Annual Duet Cabaret

fundraising event April 26, 2015, at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia.

 

This year’s event netted a record $100,600 to promote health and well-being through a broad range of services to homebound adults, caregivers, faith communities and grandparents raising grandchildren.

Attendees enjoyed the artistry and musical talents of Diana Lee and Dennis Rowland.

Rebecca Ailes-Fine and Peter S. Fine, president and CEO of Banner Health, were recognized with the Duet Partners of the Year Award. The award celebrated the tremendous service and philanthropy that has improved the health and well-being of people across the Valley. Rebecca Ailes-Fine spoke about how Duet is filling a need through dedicated volunteers who help homebound adults stay living in their homes with dignity.

Blaise Lantana, music director at KJZZ, served as mistress of ceremonies for the occasion. Rabbi Marty Scharf, former Duet board vice president, served as the auctioneer for the live auction as well as a “Call to Compassion,” where guests donated $31,585.

Among the sponsors for the event were Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Banner Health, David Bauer and Chuck Cooper, Fry’s Food Stores and Scottsdale Insurance Company.
