2015 Tumbleweed Gala

The 275 guests at the Ninth Annual

Tumbleweed Gala enjoyed cocktails

and a silent auction on the patio

overlooking the golf course at the

Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

in north Scottsdale.

Among the auction items at the March 28 gala were sports packages, concert series, original art and Southwest airline tickets. The stock-the-bar raffle was especially popular.

Live entertainment for the evening included the James Taylor Steel Drum Band, rising musician Seth Loveless and the Dina Preston Band, which provided music for dancing.

The successful fundraising event celebrated 40 years of service to the Valley’s homeless youth. Community members Sharon Heitz and Hanna Norquist helped with the planning and silent auction.

Sponsors included Scottsdale Insurance Company, Arizona Federal Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Grand Canyon University, QuikTrip, SRP and US Bank.

Tumbleweed Board Chairman Larry Heitz speaks

to the 275 guests at the Ninth Annual Tumbleweed

           Gala.
