Social Venture Partners Arizona Names New Board
Social Venture Partners Arizona, a group that offers an entrepreneurial approach to philanthropy, named its new board.
The group of Valley business owners and leaders will implement the organization’s new strategic plan with a mission to build stronger philanthropists who work to strengthen Valley nonprofits. Board terms are for two years. Partners donate money and lend their time and talent to nonprofit organizations primarily focusing on children and education.
The newly named chairman, Patrick Armstrong (shown in photo), brings a focus on education initiatives to the partnership. “There is more we can be doing to improve education in our communities; we need to identify innovative leaders and recognize those leaders so we can replicate the work for sustainable impact.”
“These 16 leaders bring a depth and energy that’s needed in these uncertain times,” said Terri Wogan-Calderón, Social Venture Partners Arizona executive director. “We’ve already made significant progress on several of our goals and I look forward to seeing how Patrick and his team continue to shape our sphere of influences.”
