The joy and love of an animal is endless. The joy and love for an animal is not. Every animal deserves a good life. That’s why the Arizona Humane Society will celebrate their annual Compassion with Fashion. Every morning as Event Chair Suzanne Pearl’s watches her own two rescue dogs play, her heart is full. And, she wonders…who actually saved who.
Suzanne Pearl Is…
Relaxed by…  being outside in nature. I love the sound of running water, birds singing and generally anything that gets me out of the constraints of four walls!! Walking my lab mix rescue along the Murphy Bridle Path every morning always starts the day out well.
Angered by…  I try not to get angry. I’ve found it doesn’t serve me well.
Charmed by…  puppies and little kids. Nothing better than a puppy kiss or a baby’s toothless grin.
Led by…  sometimes my head and sometimes my heart. And my faith.  I’m very fortunate to have a very strong faith. I was raised on the Golden Rule.
Moved by…  people who care deeply about causes.  Whether it is the amazing staff and volunteers at the Arizona Humane Society working with animals, or any other passion.  I admire people who can put their agendas and egos aside to work toward a common goal.
Amused by…  my two rescue dogs play each morning after breakfast as if it’s the first time they’ve met. Seeing them wrestle, tumble, race around and generally act like goofballs is delightful! The more I laugh, the harder they play!
Personal motto is…“Life isn’t the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope is what makes the difference.”
