Art Goes On Vacation

'Bon Voyage' features colorful, creative artwork from around the world.

The exhibition includes artworks and hands-on activities inspired by travel to diverse cities and countries. 

Kids can enter a space surrounded by walls covered in rainforest imagery, including lush plants and colorful creatures. Wooden dowels outside the entrance hold several safari-themed vests, binoculars and pint-sized pith helmets for those who want to dress up as rainforest explorers.

With the help of its visitors, the Heard has selected a group of artworks to create a wonderful collection of its most recent contemporary acquisitions. The donated items were given to the museum by varied collectors who recognized each artist’s ability to transform and create a work of art, and your votes have helped to curate and create the final exhibit. More info

 

 

BUILD! Toy Brick Art at the Heard

LEGO brick art in its many creative and surprising forms comes to the Heard Museum this summer, with plenty of hands-on components for the whole family. The ingenuity of American Indian and non-American Indian LEGO brick artists is impressive.

ANTONIO BERNI: JUANITO AND RAMONA

The exhibition features over one hundred objects by innovative artist Antonio Berni (1905-1981). The included works span a variety of media including paintings, assemblages, sculptures, works on paper, sketchbooks, and printing plates.
