Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Phoenix Theatre kicks off the holiday season with the opening of “ ’S Wonderful Time of the Year” from Dec. 12 to Jan. 6.
“ ’S Wonderful,” the new musical, is an all-singing, all-dancing musical revue featuring more than 42 songs by the Gershwin Brothers including favorites “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “I’ve Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” and “Our Love is Here to Stay.”
Through five mini-musicals inspired by episodes from the Gershwins’ own lives, the melodies will take audiences from the 1920s in New York City, to Paris in the ’30s, Hollywood in the ’40s, New Orleans in the ’50s and present day.
Phoenix Theatre’s Associate Artistic Director Robert Kolby Harper will take on the role of Director, while Toby Yatso and Jenny Hintze take the stage once more. Jenn Taber and Kaitlynn Kleinman return as well.
