ZooLights, a family tradition in the Valley,

returns to Phoenix Zoo through Jan. 11, 2015.

ZooLights, one of the largest holiday light shows in the country, returns to Phoenix Zoo to illuminate the holiday season with 3.8 million lights and 700 sparkling displays.

What's new this year: 

. Meet Tortuga the Talking Galapagos Tortoise

. Enjoy two new Music in Motion shows featuring music from the movie

Polar Express and Carol of the Bells by Arctic Express

. Experience Polar Express in the Zoo’s new 4-D theater with amazing multi-sensory

effects including snow, fog and gusts of wind (opening mid-December)

. Watch an ice sculptor magically making an animal appear out of a 300-pound block of ice

. Longer hours : 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
