Valley steakhouse Steak 44 announces Robert Watson's promotion to new

executive chef. 

 

Watson, who started as a chef’s apprentice in Philadelphia worked his way up to executive chef at his first job and from there, landed similar roles on the West Coast in Seattle. After settling in Arizona 12 years ago, Watson worked at several of the Valley’s finest country clubs and joined the Mastro family as a sous chef at Dominick’s Steakhouse and more recently was named executive chef at Steak 44.

Watson who has had a passion for fine cuisine from a young age is married with children. He says he enjoys being part of company that puts families first.  

This is my best job ever. I’m spending more time with my wife and family.” Watson said. “The Mastro family takes care of me and is very loyal to their staff.”

Steak 44, which prides itself on only using the best and top quality ingredients, has seafood flown in daily and all of the beef is cut in-house by the Steak 44 master butcher.
