FUNDRAISER AT ARIZONA HISTORICAL SOCIETY RAISES $100K FOR VALLEY KIDS

Child advocates, live entertainment and great auction items came together for The Big Event on May 3. The annual fundraiser hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix and MetrOrg, raised more than $100,000 for Valley kids. The event was held at the Arizona Historical Society at Papago Park and sponsored by inventure Foods.

Guests were treated to live music by local musicians Cactus Jack and 18-year-old BGCMP member Cory Moreno. State Youth of the Year Camrae McManaman reminded everyone of the value of the BGCMP by relaying the inspirational story of her childhood as a member.

CBS 5’s Katie Baker and Paul Horton were the evening’s emcees.
