Valley favorite Karen Gomyo returns to peform Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with The Phoenix Symphony this weekend.
Valley favorite violinist Karyn Gomyo returns to play Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, recognized as one
of the greatest violin concertos of all time. She will perform on her 311-year-old "Aurora/ex-Foulis" Stradivarius. This Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient brings her talent and intensity to Mendelssohn’s popular concerto after a sold-out performance
of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons during the 2012/13 Season.
This evening Guest Conductor James Paul will conduct Elgar’s powerful and passionate Symphony No. 1.
