Arizona Science Center to Turn Heritage and Science Park into Winter Wonderland

It may not be snowing up north, but come Dec. 26, snow will be plentiful at one location in downtown Phoenix.

Arizona Science Center’s Snow Week will take place from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., during which more than 100 tons of snow will blanket the Heritage & Science Park.

Visitors are invited to make snow angels, build a snowman or sled at the longest running snow day event in the Valley.

Additionally, from “Star Wars” to Superheroes to Fairy Tales, the Arizona Science Center will have themed days to go along with Snow Week’s favorite “Snowing Ping Pong Ball” Explosions. And, visitors can celebrate New Year’s Eve with a Harry Potter-themed Yule Ball.

The events are supported by Subaru and Arizona Coyotes. Entry is included with general admission to the Science Center,  which is $18 for adults, $13 for kids and free for members. Additional details for daily activities will be updated online at azscience.org.
