Night for Sight Raises $300K-Plus

Dominick’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale Quarter was the scene of the Foundation for Blind Children’s annual fundraising dinner, Night for Sight. The Oct. 1 event was attended by 222 guests and raised $335,750 to support the organization’s programs that serve newborns through its oldest client, who is currently 103 years old.

The cocktail hour was followed by dinner, sweeps and an after-party, which was sponsored by Ashton Tiffany. AZ Dueling Pianos provided the entertainment.

Don Tapia was recognized as a dedicated supporter of FBC, and FBC student Cesar Yanez and his family were also recognized. Cesar is a scholarship recipient to Brophy Loyola Academy as a pathway to Brophy College Preparatory. He is the first blind student ever to attend the academy. FBC student Jorge Zazueta and his family were honored as well. Jorge recently completed a Warrior Dash competition.

John Ashton and Mike Tiffany chaired the event.
