Notable Moments: Keynote speaker Michael Costello disclosed with the audience that he started drawing dresses on the walls at home at age 2. He shared that his sisters were very fashionable and they likely influenced his love of fashion. When asked by Helen Jean, the Jacquie Dorrance Curator of Fashion Design, “What part of his time at Project Runway would surprise others?” he stated that the worst memory was there was no air-conditioning during the televised critiques. Costello loves working with celebrities and has designed memorable looks for actors and entertainers such as Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani.
