Grammy Award-Winning Artist Brian Setzer Brings Holiday Tour to Phoenix
Three-time Grammy Award-winning guitarist, songwriter and vocalist, Brian Setzer, will bring his 19-piece Brian Setzer Orchestra to Phoenix for the 14th Annual Christmas Rocks! tour, opened by Dallas roots-rock collective The Texas Gentleman, on December 15.
The orchestra will perform songs from their latest Christmas album “Rockin’ Rudolph,” their previous three holiday albums and more.
Setzer has also released music as part of Stray Cats, The Rockability Riot and as a solo artist. The Brian Setzer Orchestra celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year.
“The music I play in the big band is rock n’ roll with a jazz influence,” says Setzer. “What keeps it fresh is the quality of the players in the band. Also a big part of keeping the big band fresh is the arrangements; writing the arrangement for 18 to 19 people is like writing a song within a song. It makes the song you might have heard many times sound new again.”
