O’Connor Institute Names 6 Board Members


The Sandra Day O’Connor Institute, an organization founded by the retired Supreme Court Justice in 2009, has named six new members will join its Board of Directors.
These new board members include Sara Begley, Rich Endicott, Matthew Feeney, Chris Herstam, Mac Perlich and Jane Roig. Each will serve a three-year term.
The institute is dedicated to solving social, economic and political problems through civil discourse,
“We are delighted to have these extraordinary leaders join our O’Connor Institute Board,” said Board Co-Chairman Peter Hayes.
Sara Beagley is the senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer for CopperPoint. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Property & Casualty Insurance Guaranty Fund and has served on the Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors.
Matthewe Feeny is chairman of the board for Snell & Wilmer. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the American Bar Association and has been admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Arizona. He serves on the Board the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education and has served on the Board of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and the Diocesan School Board, Diocese of Phoenix.
Chris Herstam is the principal of Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP and has been Lewis & Roca Chairman of the Arizona Government Relations Practice for over 20 years.  He has also served as gubernatorial chief of staff for Governor Fife Symington, president of the Board of Regents, co-chair of the transition team for Governor Janet Napolitano and as a state representative.
Linda “Mac” Perlich is the CEO and publisher of ON Media, which publishes Arizona Red Book as well as two million programs a year for the major performing and visual arts organizations in Phoenix and Tucson. She also founded the Act One Foundation with her husband. Perlich has served on boards including The Wellness Community, Teach for America Phoenix, Banner Foundation, Ballet Arizona, The Herberger Theatre Center and Arizona Theatre Company. She is a member of Charter 100, Central Phoenix Women, Scripps College and Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae organizations.
Jane Roig is a community leader with over 35 years of experience in strategic and executive management. She has served as the executive vice president and CEO at Southwest Student Services Corporation and vice chair of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross, and is serving as a member of the Board of the Helios Education Foundation and the Arizona Science Center Board of Trustees.
