In the Bag: Chic, Sophisticated Lilac

Around this time of year, we tend to gravitate toward tropical coral and pink nail polishes. But next time of you find yourself in the market for polish, I suggest branching out with a light lilac shade. 

Lavender shades are a nice alternative to nudes and add just the right amount of edge. I would have never thought to reach for this nontraditional shade until I had the pleasure of meeting a rep from Brain Atwood last spring (who was one of the most stylish women I have met to date). Her go-to pedicure polish was Essie in Minimalistic. It was chic and sophisticated, adding just the right hint of spring. 

For starters, try picking up Estee Lauder Pure Nail Lacquer in Lilac Leather or Le Metier de Beaute in French Lilac.
