Xavier Fashion Show

The Mothers’ Guild of Xavier College Preparatory hosted its annual scholarship fashion show March 18 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. The theme of this year’s show was “Imagine.”

Professional models walked the runway in spring fashions and accessories from Saks Fifth Avenue. Two hundred Xavier students from the Class of 2012 and 80 Brophy students took their turn down the runway in fashions from various Valley retail stores, adding their own items completing their look.

The show included 12 songs, with students participating in various numbers by Billy Joel, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga and more. They wore themed costumes, with the lighting and screen projections enhancing their performances. The seniors mixed their own version of “Imagine” by John Lennon and added voiceovers in their own words.

Luncheon tables had lilac overlay linens, and the centerpieces were colorful ribbed-glass lantern candleholders with wispy purple budding flowers and a light in the bottom. They were designed by Lynne Jackson, Cathy Kleeman and Amy Videan.

Kiley Ward and Laura Westfall co-chaired the luncheon. Proceeds benefit the Xavier Scholarship Fund. About 40 percent of Xavier’s students receive scholarships.
