Wings Fashion Show and Luncheon

The kids stole the show at Childhelp’s Sixth Annual Wings Fashion Show and Luncheon on Feb. 26 at the Camelback Inn. Wings members and their children strutted the runway in honor of a Childhelp child. The adults wore fashions from Etcetera and accessories from Stella and Dot, the children modeled fashions from urban Kidz Clothing and teens were outfitted by Savvy Boutique.

This year’s Heart of an Angel award was given to Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery for making a difference in the lives of children, citing his dedication to the improved welfare of Arizona’s children and his efforts to help end abuse through enhanced abuse-investigation protocols.

Emcee Tara Hitchcock had a little help from Hollywood as young actress Bailee Madison shared the podium with her. At 12, Madison has received positive reviews for her work with such actors as Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal. 

Around 300 guests attended the event, chaired by Lisa James. It netted $40,000 for Childhelp’s youth-empowerment program. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona sponsored the luncheon affair.
