The 265 guests at An Evening of Shooting Stars, Molina Fine Jewelers’ holiday dinner, enjoyed a six-course Italian dinner at the Montelucia Resort and dancing to the music of the Gene Press Orchestra following dinner.

The black-tie affair was underwritten by Alfredo J. Molina, with guests making donations directly to one of three selected charities: Fresh Start Women’s Foundation for the Child Watch Center for daycare services, Phoenix Children’s Hospital for high-priority clinical needs, or Chrysalis, an agency dedicated to stopping terror in the home and ending the cycle of domestic abuse.

Christine Siegel of the Flower Studio designed the beautiful centerpieces.

Molina Holiday Gala

The Dec. 2 holiday dinner hosted by Lisa and Alfredo Molina of Molina Fine Jewelers was an evening of fine food, good company and spirited dancing. The party, which the Molinas imbue with family warmth, is a treasured tradition that kicks off the season’s festivities.

The Arizona Biltmore McArthur Ballroom was elegantly staged with soaring chandelier-like vases filled with hydrangeas atop jewel-tone tablecloths on some tables and flower-filled cylindrical vases surrounding more flowers on others. The rectangular head table added to the mix, making the large room more interesting.

The 300 clients, family and friends who were guests of the Molinas gave $40,000 to three charities: Bonnie Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, whose goal is to increase the survival rate of lung cancer through early detection, awareness and research; Chrysalis domestic abuse agency, which provides emergency shelter and transitional housing, outpatient counseling, victim advocacy and an Offender Treatment program; and Teen Lifeline, whose mission is to provide a safe, confidential and crucial crisis service to help teens make healthy decisions.

After a four-course meal, guests danced to the music of the Diane Lindsay Band.
