Jewels and Jetsetting
Al Molina opened the doors of Molina Fine Jewelers on Sept. 27 for a shopping extravaganza to benefit Southwest Human Development. Five percent of sales through Oct. 31 will be donated to the agency. Guests tried on jewelry and enjoyed grazing from the beautiful array of food catered by Bruce Brown Catering.
Proceeds from the evening benefit three of the organization's programs: the ADAPT Shop, Birth to Five Helpline and Children's Developmental Center. ADAPT Shop is a facility developed by Southwest Human Development where products are identified, designed and often custom built to help children with disabilities under age five to become independent, active participants in the world.
The grand prize for the evening was a private jet getaway donated by the DeStefano family, who also offered to match a $25,000 contribution. Zandra and Glenn O’Keefe won the trip. Carrie and Jon Hulburd were the evening’s honorary chairs.
