Dance With Me

Spring’s 2011 Dance With Me gala celebrated Ballet Arizona’s 25th anniversary “Silver Season.”

Phoenix Art Museum was awash in the sparkling silver of flowers, table decorations, place settings and gowns.

Following the cocktail hour, guests moved into the Great Hall for a preview of Ib Andersen’s world premiere Symphonie Classique, performed by Ballet Arizona dancers. Guests were treated to another pre-dinner surprise: the unveiling of two of the costumes from Symphonie Classique. The tutus were designed by Martin Pakledinaz, a two-time Tony Award-winning costume designer.

After dinner, party guests, some partnering with Ballet Arizona dancers, danced to the music of Affinity.

Jacqui Firestone chaired the March 5 event, and Julie Prusak was its honorary chair. The evening generated about $165,000 to benefit Ballet Arizona’s education and outreach programs.
