COPA Ball
Guests at the eighth annual COPA Ball enjoyed a luminous evening, reflecting the occasion’s theme: Ray of Light.
The Oct. 15 soiree at the Arizona Biltmore benefits Maricopa Integrated Health System and its mission of improving access to health care through outreach, education and research.
Mark Karp of Angelic Grove designed the table décor in red and gold. Dinner entrées were herb-seared filet with mustard-and-chive-brushed salmon.
The evening honored Kote Chundu, M.D., with the J. Kipp Charlton Physician Excellence Award. Chundu is the chairman of pediatrics at the Arizona Children’s Center at Maricopa Medical Center. Phil Wedzik, R.N., was awarded the Joey Ridenour Nursing Excellence Award posthumously.
Lee Allen, Debbie Kimberly, Michelle Loudenslager and Lisa Lowrie co-chaired the event. About 600 supporters attended the black-tie evening.
