Saks Raises Money for Local Charities
In its month-long February Charity Program, Saks Fifth Avenue raised more than $1.1 million in charitable contributions nationwide. The Phoenix store raised more than $80,000 for local charities, placing it among the top three stores in the nation.
During the charity program, Saks gave 5 percent of all registered purchases made with a registered Saks Fifth Avenue credit card back to charity. Customers selected their favorite local charity from Saks Fifth Avenue’s roster of local organizations. Registration was one step at point of sale that linked the customer account with their chosen charity.
Because the Biltmore Fashion Park store was among the top three, it was able to give 10 percent of its registered purchases to local charities. The store partnered with TGen, Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, Valle del Sol, the ASU Foundation and the American Heart Association.
