Rancho Solano Starts School Year at Ventura Campus

Students at Rancho Solano Private School started classes Monday at its new campus at Via de Ventura and the Loop 101, with pristine white walls and a new carpet smell.

“I woke up at midnight, and at 1 and at 2 and at 3, and I got here at 5:30 a.m. because I couldn’t wait any longer,” Jeannine McDonald, head of the high school, told students gathered for a welcome assembly.

The new site, called the Ventura Campus, houses about 270 students in Grades 6-12 in a renovated building on the Salt River Reservation just east of Scottsdale.
