Miss Arizona Teen USA

Xavier College Preparatory student Savannah Wix,

daughter of Drs. Barbara and Mark Wix of Paradise Valley, was

crowned Miss Arizona Teen USA on Dec. 1. Sixty-seven young women

from across Arizona competed for the titles of Miss Arizona USA and

Miss Arizona Teen USA.

As Miss Arizona Teen, Wix will spend a year volunteering around the

state, speaking at events and attending fundraisers. Her goals are to

sing the national anthem at a sporting event, to speak to elementary

school students about bullying and friendships, and to entertain

hospitalized children while playing the guitar. She will also represent  

Arizona in the Miss Teen USA pageant scheduled for summer 2014.

All of the semifinalists, top five finalists and winners receive

scholarships from both Grand Canyon University and

Lindenwood University.
