CACTIS Newest Board Member

The Central Arizona Center for Therapy and Imaging Services (CACTIS) Foundation today announced the addition of Travis Leach as a new member of the Board of Directors.
Leach is a partner of Ballard Spahr in Phoenix, where he practices in business and finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities, sports and transactional finance.
In working with public companies as well as sports and entertainment clients, Leach has performed over $3 billion in corporate transactions. He is also a certified Contract Advisor by the National Football League Player’s Association and Canadian Football Players’ Association, offering counsel to professional sports organizations, coaches, athletes, ownership groups and entertainers.
“What CACTIS is doing for the sports world in concussion research, education and prevention is of paramount importance and timing,” Leach said. “I’m honored to be joining the CACTIS Foundation at such a significant time for sports and look forward to building upon the successful programs and initiatives being advanced by this board.”
One such program, Conquering Concussions, works with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale to educate young athletes about the risks, reduction and long-term effects of concussions.
“This program aims to bring to light the consequences of repetitive head injury and Second Impact Syndrome (SIS) on a national and grassroots level,” said Chairman Hirsch Handmaker, M.D., President and Founder of Ionia Consulting. Handmaker is CEO of CACTIS and leads the CACTIS Board of Directors.
