 >  The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa will celebrate the holiday season with a nightly lightshow extravaganza unlike any other in Arizona. The Resort will transform into a winter wonderland as the walls of The Westin Kierland come alive with PaintScaping, themed 3-D images and animations festively set to holiday music. 

Admission is free and open to the public. 

PaintScaping shows will be at

6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly

from Nov. 29 through Dec. 31.

 >  Every Friday and Saturday evening, the Resort’s FUN Team invites guests to stay awhile and participate in a full evening of activities, including complimentary ‘¨holiday-themed s’mores roasting. There will also be holiday character appearances on select evenings and live musical entertainment by French Folk singer Cecile Pereira and acoustic singer Erick Hasbun rounds out the fun.

The Bakery Café celebrates the upcoming December holiday with a Cookie Decorating Workshop on Friday, Nov. 29. 

Children and adults are invited to decorate festive cookies and learn fun and informative techniques. 

Cookie Decorating Kits are $15 each and include: plain sugar cookies, icing, sprinkles and decorative frostings for four cookies.

During the 12th season of Sanctuary’s popular series, Chef MacMillan and his celebrity guest chefs continue the tradition of serving a three-course meal paired with wine or cocktails. Guests will enjoy lessons on preparing the culinary specialties, plus recipes to take home.

The Biltmore’s Afternoon Tea, an 84-year tradition, will be poured Thursdays through Sundays in December with a special holidays theme.

Tea will be served in the timeless elegance of the Arizona Biltmore lobby.

The menu consists of five sandwiches, four desserts and two pastries. A large selection of teas will be presented to complement each flavor: Black Teas, Green Teas, White Teas and Herbal Infusions. Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Dairy-Free and Vegan options are available with advance notice.
