See Nocturnal Desert Creatures at Cool Summer Nights

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum can be pretty quiet on a summer afternoon. The museum – also part zoo and botanical garden – has a lot of sleeping animals in the heat of the day.

Big cats lie still. Bears look like massive hairballs.

So the museum gives visitors a chance to beat the summer heat, watch a sunset and see the nocturnal desert during its Cool Summer Nights program.
