In the Bag: Makeup Tips from Pros
I recently had the wonderful opportunity
to have my makeup done by well-known
fashion photographer and makeup artist
Michael Franco. Many of our models at
The Agency Arizona have worked with
him in the past and rumor had it his
makeup would be life changing. It was!
Franco is a master. I not only felt like
model for just one night but also picked
up a few new product obsessions. Here
are some to try:
CONCEAL Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer Makeup pot. Use as concealer, highlighter or all over for your foundation. The light and creamy concealer gives skin a beautiful dewy glow that doesn’t look heavy.
APPLY Apply foundation with a brush rather than a sponge. Sponges absorb too much product, which can be wasteful, plus the brush allows for lighter, more even distribution. Try a Bobbi Brown foundation brush.
SET Invest in a translucent setting power like Smashbox Photo Set Finishing Powder. A light dusting or swirling over your face will absorb shine (crucial during our warmer months) and will set your makeup, allowing for a flawless finish.
Having your makeup applied by a professional can give you new tips and introduce you to new products. The process can do wonders for your look – and your self-esteem.
