Music in B-Sharp
The Phoenix Symphony’s multi-faceted
B-Sharp Music Wellness, a W.O.N.D.E.R.
Project, aims to provide healing through
the power of music. Through this
program, Phoenix Symphony musicians
visit centers to perform concerts as a
way to foster healing and promote a
general sense of well-being for
individuals facing homelessness.
As these individuals connect with music, and in some cases rediscover lost talents, they gain confidence, strength and self-esteem. By listening to live music and being involved in live music-making experiences, a greater quality of life is possible.
Concerts were held at the Lodestar Day Resource Center and the Circle the City Respite Care Center on Jan. 6, and at UMOM New Day Center on Jan. 7.
