The work of artist Dale Chihuly has returned to the Desert Botanical Garden with a stunning exhibition of his extraordinary art.

Chihuly is credited with revolutionizing the Studio Glass movement and elevating the perception of the glass medium from the realm of craft to fine art. He is renowned for his ambitious architectural installations around the world, in historic cities, museums and gardens.

The exhibition features 21 installation sites located along the Garden's trails. It includes new and early works representing the breadth and scope of the artist's vision over the last four decades.

……

Sapphire Star

Anchoring the exhibition in the Ottosen Entry Garden, Sapphire Star is a dynamic composition of 720 blue to clear spires that glisten by day and when lit, shine brightly by night.

Scarlet and Yellow Assymetrical Towers (2005)

The Towers flank the entrance of the Desert Discovery Loop Trail. They originally debuted during Chihuly's 2005 exhibition at the Royal Botanical Gardens in the UK, Kew Gardens, where they flanked the world-famed Palm House.

White Tower (1997)

The current display includes some softer and more subdued colors, such as the lavender in the White Tower installation.

Summer Sun

Massing color together with many pieces in a single installation, Summer Sun consists of 2000 red, yellow and orange hand-blown glass elements.

Boat

Onyx Floats

Multicolored Polyvitro Chandelier
