Barrow Neurological Foundation has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees: Donna Johnson, Jordan R. Rose and Dr. Mitchel Sayare. As the new chair of the Barrow Women’s Board, Amy Thurston will also serve on the Board of Trustees during her term. Members provide governance over the Barrow Neurological Foundation which works with donors to provide the resources for the world’s leading specialists at Barrow Neurological Institute to save lives.

“With philanthropic, legal and biomedical leadership experience, these individuals bring a wealth of knowledge to complement the outstanding board that governs our Foundation,” said Katie Cobb, president of the Foundation. “We are eager to learn from their expertise as we accept the challenge of raising critical funds to further the lifesaving care happening at Barrow every day.”

Donna Johnson of Paradise Valley has served as a human resources executive and consultant for the airline industry and nonprofit sector. Governor Doug Ducey recently appointed Rose to the statewide Groundwater Work Group to draft legislation for responsible usage. She is an active member of Urban Land Institute and a founding member of Pinal Partnership, as well as its current Chairman of the Board.

Dr. Mitchel Sayare was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of NASDAQ-listed ImmunoGen, Inc. (IMGN), a billion-dollar biotechnology company focused on the development of anti-cancer drugs. Its first FDA-approved product, Kadcyla, is sold worldwide by Roche Pharma for the treatment of Her2-positive breast cancer.
