Program highlight: Honoree Steve Wheeler gave a compelling speech as he was celebrated for 11 years of service on the HonorHealth Board of Directors. “Although I am designated in the program as the honoree, I would much prefer to think of myself as a representative of all the directors of HonorHealth, past and present…all of whom over time have given so much generously of their time, wisdom and treasure for this cause. Like many of you I have a strong personal connection to HonorHealth. Four decades of my family have been well treated at HonorHealth facilities. Seven of my 13 grandchildren have been born at Shea. I personally have undergone three successful major operations — I went undercover so I could check out the staff and see them at the top of their game.”
