Show Features the Art of Being Entrepreneurial

Fearlessly Deliver and Fearless Art Works co-hosted “The Art of Fearlessly Doing Business III,” an art exhibit of the work of Michelle Micalizzi at Spanish Village in Carefree on May 5.
The visual art exhibit, which was inspired by 13 local business leaders, will hang in its entirety through May 26, along with Micalizzi’s Entrepreneurial Traits series and The Art of Fearlessly Doing Business I and II series.
“As an artist and a fellow business owner, I am inspired by the fearless entrepreneurial spirit,” said Micalizzi, a visual journalist and owner of both Fearlessly Deliver and Fearless Art Works. “Small business owners are the backbone of our country and I am compelled to tell our stories.”
Ten percent of sales from all Fearless Art Projects are donated to charity each year, with the donation from the proceeds of The Art of Fearlessly Doing Business III going to The Contemporary Forum, a support organization for the Phoenix Art Museum.
“My multi-media paintings are inspired by a conversation I have with business leaders asking them essentially why they started their business and how they have overcome their fears to become fearless successes,” said Micalizzi. As a multimedia painter, Micalizzi uses a combination of acrylic, oil pastels, colored pencil, and paint markers in this series. Micalizzi, a Sonoran Arts League member, said, “Each painting is a mini documentary arrived at from active listening and deep interest in my subjects.”
The three-part series features the stories and visual representations of 39 entrepreneurs, with a fourth series being added in January 2018.
